Hello...

Elder Santiago goes home in July, sort of. His family will pick him up and he will be home in August.

We have a few new investigators that are doing good.

Pray for ipads. A lot of elders don't think that it would help the mission work here, but I am more comfortable with technology, so I think it would help me a lot.

Well, thank you for all the support and prayers.

I love you so much.

Love,
Elder Crotts

PS. Study. You need progression in your life or else you will be unhappy. Progressing is happiness and we are supposed to learn in this life.

Service week :)

Thank you to you and Grandma for fixing my line.

I got the ink stains out, well sister Bast did.

I am taking so many supplements right now. ha-ha. I took a picture of what I am taking every day.
Half my suitcase will be full of pills, ha-ha thanks.

This last week we did service the entire week. That was funny. It was 30 c (86 F) so pretty hot.

Monday we cleaned out the Glückstadt apartment which took all day.

Tuesday we went shopping. I'll take pics of this next week.

Wednesday we were in a garden the entire day working on a fence and got nothing done, I got heat stroke.

Thursday we helped with a member moving.

Friday we helped again with the move.

Saturday we partied with Miss Ice because her and Elder Santiago have the same birthday. 21st of May. Which is also the birthday of Sister Kosak.

Sunday we were late for church because we missed our train. Then we ate at the Hardys.

They have a beautiful home and she is just a character. I think you would get along with her.

She said that she once had a conversation with a missionaries mom, even though she doesn't speak English and the mom doesn't speak German, but some how they talked for a bit and had fun.

This bunny was out side of the church. The picture was taken through the church door.
I am feeling fine, well, normal ha-ha. oh and I got bit by a spider on the back of my neck, unfortunately didn't turn into spider man, but did have a slight allergic reaction. All is good now, took some meds and it went away pretty fast.

Well, that my week. I got sunburned a bit, but not bad. I might buy a hat, not sure.

I love you to pieces.

Love,
Elder Crotts

This week was so wonderful.

This week was so wonderful.

In Church yesterday, I starting thinking about that story, about the footprints in the sand and I pictured my life in footprint form and I could only picture one set of footprints. Then an incredible sense of gratitude came over me and I realized that Jesus Christ has been carrying me my entire life. I have needed him and still need him always.

Other than that we have been cleaning out an apartment all day today, so we are having pday tomorrow, sort of.

Well, that's weird they couldn't deliver it. They could have left it with a neighbor or something. Make sure it says Kirche Jesu Christi in the address above the name?

So there has been a change of plan. We are going to Elmshorn tomorrow and I will be buying clothes then. Bad news, I somehow got ink stains on quite a few of my shirts. I remember, I sent some short sleeve shirts to Grandma and Grandpa. I don't remember how many I sent, but if I could get those back, that would be wonderful.

Other than that, I have had a wonderful week. Elder Santiago is about to buy a really expensive suit, ha-ha. and is preparing for home life by possibly buying a bunch of normal clothes, ha-ha. Oh shopping...

We made a flag with the freedom thing from captain Moroni and took it in the Forrest. Took a picture and video of it, ha-ha. That was fun.

We also found our Itzehoe mom. Her name is Henretta . Unfortunately she has sworn an oath never to read the Book of Mormon, but she has talked about grilling with us sometime and we said we would make brownies and bring them over tomorrow. She is so cool. Miss Ice is also doing good. Her father has dementia and is in a home. It has been pretty bad lately. We talked about the plan of salvation with her and I think that helped her a lot.

That was my week really. It was good. I also realized I don't need to worry about what I don't know, just need to focus on what I do know. I love you dad and that I know.

That's all for now. I loveth thou so much.

Love,
Elder Crotts

Happy Mother's day :)

He didn't really say much in his email today.

We had a GREAT chat on Skype for Mother’s day with Kyle. He sounded so positive and looked the best he has in a long time.

Got some investigators who are looking good.

He had to give a talk in church and it went well. There are only 20 people in the Branch.

I have the flu...

The weather has been quite cold around here and I am currently fighting a stomach flu. I have learned to love white bread.

We got our transfer call last Saturday. We are both staying.

I'll Skype roughly around 7, 8, or 9 am your time... ha-ha. We aren't sure. Just be ready.

well.. hmm. Next week I have a talk in church. We'll see how that goes.

We had an appointment with a man who is from Ghana and he has committed to reading the book of Mormon and praying to see if Joseph Smith was a prophet. That was pretty exciting.
I haven't had much energy lately. Probably because I get sick so often. Not good.

I need you to start looking into colleges or schools where I can study Graphic design.

One of our investigators, Ice Queen, has two cats and they are adorable. I need more pics of the family and Misty, ha-ha.

I love you tons.

Love,

Elder Crotts.

Sheep Everywhere!

I have no idea where this year went. I need my Skype info again... ha-ha.

My investigators are good, but I have a feeling that most of my investigator stories will have to wait until after the mission. We did get invited to a protest the other day. The people were a bit high... ha-ha, we said no. Then we found an inactive member unexpectedly and I found a couple new species of insects. A weird Bee spider thing and a giant ant beetle.

I know some other stuff happened this week, but I don't remember what, ha-ha.

Thank grandma for the food. All of the sweets are gone, ha-ha.

Oh and my teeth things fall out while I am sleeping, but when they are in my mouth I bet they work wonderful. Sometimes I wake up and it is just gone or on the side of my bed or on the floor or something, ha-ha.

Love,
Elder Crotts

Train doors...

That's nice that you talked with Elder Santiago's Mom and that you had a wonderful time in Idaho, as for the suit, it just doesn't fit how I would like it to. I have one suit still that I brought with me, but I sent my slip on shoes to England in that big box. What I would really like is some new trousers, because that is what I wear most of the time.

My new area is beautiful. There are about 23,000 people in Itzehoe and about 11,000 in Glückstadt. The area is technically the Glückstadt area, but we live in Itzehoe and we do work there as well. They aren't that far away from each other. We have one investigator that needs to understand why we as missionaries are there and then we have found a few others that are doing pretty well. The people are relatively nice here. There is a member family that are the coolest. They are going to America this summer for a road trip. Maybe you will run into them, they speak English.

I Saw sister Pitech this week. that was really fun. she is doing good. and I showed her my subway planner that I made. She worked at subway before her mission.

This week was pretty good. We made another banner of freedom. I also found Landon a German friend, ha-ha. and possible Kelli a German friend. Same family, both speak English.

Elder Santiago is my favorite Companion. He has taught me so much, so I am really enjoying it around here. He's super Awesome. Loves finding and has taught me how to find with a purpose, a heart and naturally the spirit. Talking to people is key. looking good is also key ;)

If you want, you can go ahead and send me something for Easter.

How is your diet going? what do you eat?

Love,
Elder Crotts

P.S. What was your favorite talk in conference?

Doing GREAT!!!

The new place is awesome. Completely new apartment. Super cool. The address is... I have no idea. I'll get that for you next week.

My New companion is really really cool. Such a hard worker and he has so much energy it is ridiculous. He's been sick this last week and he still has more energy than me, ha-ha and his German is fantastic! I've learnt more from him in a week than I have from all my other companions. He is going to study, and already has, graphic design and art history. Which is actually what I have been thinking about for a while now. Graphic design any way.

Landon works at Home DEPOT??? no one told me this. That's so cool!

Well, we met with some Members to get to know them. The ward Mission Leader (GML in German) had us over for dinner at his house yesterday after conference. His son recently got back from his mission in Missouri or somewhere like that and the rest of his family is awesome, so awesome.

We also have found tons of contacts and have a few new investigators that we are excited to work with.

I am seriously learning so much from Elder Santiago he is basically retraining me. its awesome.

I would love to buy a couple of new sweaters and some khaki style pants. Let me know if that will be possible. I don't know exactly how much it will cost. also, if it would be at all possible... I would love a new suit that actually fits me, ha-ha. That's a long story. The jacket looks like a balloon, ha-ha. If it's not possible I can probably live, but I look like a loser standing next to Elder Santiago with my baggy clothes and the looks are the first impression, pray about it.

Mother dear I love you. I hope you have a wonderful time in Idaho and next week I expect pictures, ha-ha.

Love,
Elder Crotts

P.S. My shoes are broken, ha-ha The ones I bought 6 months ago. I don't know.

I am Transferred

I am Transferred.

I am going to a city called Glückstadt, that translates to lucky town or lucky city,  but we will be living in Itzehoe. I don't know the address yet. My new companion is Elder Santiago. We will be reopening the Glückstadt Program. It's been closed for a couple of transfers I think.

I FOUND MY WALLET.. someone found at the Göttingen church and put it into their mail box, but they took the money, ha-ha.

Not much happened here other than that and transfers. The Sisters are leaving Kassel. They are closing the Sister's program and Elder Kreitzer and his new comp are taking over the entire area.

Well, that's all I got.

I will let you know about my address I guess next week. OK, love you. bye

Love,

Elder Crotts

I'm Half Way :)

I am glad that you are alive. Be careful with fasting and then eating a lot. I did that in the MTC and got sick, ha-ha.

My stomach is doing ok. They aren't actually pills, it is liquid I'm taking and it tastes like rotten feet, but it helps. I can eat now. I am still a little uncomfortable and other slight pains in my stomach every now and then. I will probably have to get that checked out eventually.

No alien and it needs to stay that way.

End of Week

YUM! FOOD

This week we had a wonderful conversation with a man who looked like a mix of the 4th and 8th Doctors. It was really fun. He didn't believe in god, but we talked for about an hour and a half, about almost everything. I definitely think he has a new look on our church though.  I even talked about doctor who with him and that I have worked with cameras and Photoshop, it was cool. He was a teacher and he has done a bit with cameras as well and music. He was very awesome, but he wasn't interested in really learning about the church just yet. I think he will be eventually.

We also went to a Museum on Tuesday. The Brother Grimm Museum. They lived and wrote a few of their stories here in Kassel. It was a cool Museum, but we weren't a loud to take pictures. They had different rooms with different languages. My favorite room had  Klingon, Mandalorian and also the Binary code and Braille translations of stories. That was cool.

Oh! Fun fact, The Grimm Brothers were the first to write a German Dictionary.

Tell Thomas congrats, and if he wants me to be a best man he can use the card board cut out. haha.

Well, I made myself a pizza on Thursday to celebrate and I set a few Goals. I want to be Fluent in German by July, and I want my German to be Better than President Kosak's English by the end of my Mission.

Well, that is all this week. I love you so much. The office probably won't be sending me the package. They will most likely wait till a zone conference. Then I will get it.

Love,
Elder Crotts

P.S. Pray for ipads
