I'm doing great :)

I'm doing great. I am loving Kassel. Appointments, travel and study. ha-ha that's my life.
The apartment is still a mess. Today I have to drill some holes to put a mirror in our bathroom and I have lots of work to do. Maybe I will take a small video and send it to you.

The weather has been weird the past two days, so we have a little bit of the storm that hit England.

The ward has asked me to make the Christmas party invitation.

I think this is Elder Kossin, but not sure.
So this week we had interviews with President, that was really fun. I asked him where he bought Sister Kosak's phone case and he said on amazon and then he gave me permission to go and buy one. ha-ha, but then I said I don't have a phone, but I think he was serious, that was pretty funny.

I am writing in my journal at least every three days, but I will have to buy a new one in about two months. I think, but I will buy one over here cause I want a smaller one.

We don't really have any plans for this p-day, but I think this week we are going to try and make some breaded chicken.

We are going to Hamburg this week for a 6 hour conference. 6 hours of sitting is going to kill me, but I hope I get the opportunity to buy a hamburger there, cause that would make it all worth it.

 Purple cauliflower
Moldy stuff that we found in the church fridge

Not sure where this is

We went to Hanover and stayed with the ZLs and I took a picture out their window. That is the city shot.

Well, that's all I got for now.

I love you lots

Loving Kassel...

There is a message from Kyle in the blog before this one. Naughty Boy.

This is from his last area

Kyle is sitting at the second table back. His old area.

My new area is awesome. There are 200,000 people here, give or take a few. It's way cooler than the last place. Took me about 5 hours to get here, so not so bad. I moved seats, so that a family could sit together, that's about it. I can't send any pics or videos cause I can't find the USB port on this computer. We are in an internet cafe place, not sure what to call it. There are a bunch of computers people can use. I don't know any of the missionaries in this area, but I have already become good friends with the Sisters and my new companion here is Kassel.

So, this place was basically leveled to the ground in World War 2, so most of the city is pretty new, but it is an art document city which means there are lots of random art things. Pretty cool. There aren't that many members here, about the same as Schwarzenberg, but there are a lot more kids. Like little kids 3 and 4 year old kids that like to stomp on nice new shoes. Just kidding that hasn't happened yet, but it might next week. ha-ha. The ward here has some work to do. Yesterday was the first Sunday I didn't eat at a members house for lunch. That was sad. We ended up eating some food that Grandma sent me.

Tell Maud and Martha I say hi. I can get a new pic for the cut out, but the quality won't be as good.

We taught an Asian yesterday which was really cool. We are teaching him about Jesus and God cause he doesn't know anything about them. It's super cool and he is just soaking it all in. We also taught someone from Burma (not sure how to spell that), but he is also cool and has been taught everything and is waiting for an answer. Super exciting. I think I might see three baptism while I'm here. Not sure who the third one is yet, but we'll find em.

We live above a bedding store which is weird, but cool and our neighbor is a Dentist's office, ha-ha  very interesting. We have already helped some one in the ward move. People don't really move far here. They just move to different parts of the city. It's strange. Also met our GML who is really cool and I was able to do some Handy work around the apartment because it's a giant mess and need lots of work. LOTS. I was working on the bathroom sink which was fun. Might actually need a new one soon. It seems to be going bad. We also need some silicone around the faucet and redo some silicone in other places in the kitchen and bathroom. I think I know why I was sent here. ha-ha. Unfortunately we don't have all the tools I would like on hand, but we have an OK variety.

My companion is really cool. He is into music and has some really awesome stuff.

We have interviews with the president this week on Wednesday and my first tausch in the area. This will be my fifth interview with president. That's a lot, I have only been here 6 months.

I have definitely been enjoying it here so far and I have only eaten three pasta dishes. ha-ha, but I will be eating more protein here pretty soon.

Once again sorry for no pictures. I will have to try again next week.

I love you tons and don't worry about Christmas. Just send me pictures or somethings. I need more pictures of family members.

I love you

Love,

Elder Crotts

This is a Direct Message from the Man himself

This is a Direct Message from the Man himself. I'm just chilling out here in Germany preparing people to make convenants with their Father in Heaven. but in between the Meetings and the Teachings, i like to have a little fun.

I'm going to Kassel...

OK. so I am getting transferred. I am going to Kassel (heard it's cool) and my companion is Elder Kossin. I think that is how you spell his name. I leave tomorrow.

Sounds like it was an eventful week for you guys.

I didn't go to Berlin. I stayed in Chemnitz which is an hour away. Elder Coleman had a training meeting.
I got the ties from Dad. They are both cool and skinny, almost too skinny, but look good with my new suit. The box I am sending to grandma is gonna be about 50 euro to send. It's kinda really heavy, 16.9 kilo. I don't know how much that is in lbs.

I said goodbye to a bunch of people yesterday, got some pictures.

I sent you some pictures that you can use for the card board cut out. I will send more picture of just fun stuff next week.

last night I made Star Wars cup cakes, that was fun.

I have also been packing like no other and one of my bags weighs about 72 lbs. haha Grandma's food. It's gonna be crazy carrying all my stuff around, but I only have one train change on the way to Kassel.

Don't really have much to say this week. I looked good on Sunday and it's starting to get cold out here.

Well, that's all for this week.

I love you bunches.

The spirit was so strong!

I just notice that all the chocolate I bought for you, all has nuts in it, so I will have to find something special for you and send it later. I am sending a big box to grandma next week and I am sending home my bane jacket that dad bought for me, both my boots and slip on shoes. I have way to much stuff to carry around a mission and I really don't need it. I have thermals and my testimony to keep me warm. I'll be fine.

As far as the food from oma and opa.  I haven't tried everything yet. The sweet and sour chicken was my favorite. Of course the sweets were good and the tart was delicious, tasted just like a pop tart. I loved it and I realized why they are called pop tarts, but they seriously won't need to send me anything for a while cause that will last at least 6 months if not longer.

That is super cool that our ward is growing. It's gonna be completely different by the time I get back.

We haven't watched the last session of conference yet because of the time difference.

The Tuesday before Genreal Conference, my companion and I were in an appointment with a lady, Frau H., who we have been meeting with for 6 months. Frau H. is one of the sweetest ladies I have every met and she loves to cook for us and speak with us about what we as Mormons believe. She has told us in the past, multiple times, that she has no intention of leaving her Church, but is open minded and willing to learn about our Church. This appointment was a special appointment because we decided to bring the Sister missionaries along, so they could meet Frau H. and get to know each other, so that eventually she will be comfortable enough with the them, that the Sister will meet with her instead of the Elders, because she lives alone. We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful light discussion about church organization. She seemed very interested and deep in thought. the spirit was there and we could all feel it. The sisters invited her to come to General Conference, so that she could hear and see the Leaders of our Church. We handed her an invitation that our Ward Mission Leader had made for us to give to people. She looked at it and notice that we had a session on Saturday that she would be available to attend. We all had big smiles on our faces, because we knew that the reason she wanted to attend the Saturday session, was because she wanted to attend her church on Sunday. We told her that was great and that we were very excited, which we were. She had attended Sacrament meeting once before and said she enjoyed it very much. We left her house that day with big smiles, knowing that what she would see and hear on Saturday, would have a great impact on her life. Saturday evening, just before 6 o'clock pm. We walked into the Chapel and looked around for Frau H.. We saw her sitting next to Schwester Ebisch. she looked slightly uncomfortable, so we went over and talked to her for a bit until it was time for conference to start. Since we, the Missionaries, speak English they set up a projector for us in the other room with the English Broadcast and Frau H. was in the Chapel watching it in German. We sat through conference and had a wonderful time listening to all of the inspirational words that were said. After it had finished, we quickly went into the chapel to see what Frau H. thought of the Session she had just seen. As we walked into the chapel, the spirit was very strong. We quickly walked over to Frau H. she looked as if she had seen a miracle, that she couldn't believe had happened. She told us that the talk by President Dieter F. Ukdorf was like something she had never heard before. It had touched her heart. She was so stunned that she had goose bumps on her arms. She told us that that talk was something else and we knew that she had felt the Spirit stronger than ever before. In that moment she looked so beautiful, her spirit was glowing. I was so happy for her. This Tuesday, the Sisters are visiting her by themselves because we have a meeting in Berlin. I believe that she was changed that Saturday and I am so grateful that i could be hear to witness it.

I love you so much. I really enjoyed the videos you sent me. Thank you.

Love,
Elder Crotts
